I’m a qualified coach, counsellor and trainee psychotherapist. My first experience of personal development & therapy was when I completed my NLP training 20 years ago. Since then I have studied and trained in a multitude of disciplines and read too many books! I am currently in my final year (4 years) of training to become a Psychotherapist. Although my core modality is Transactional Analysis, I have an interest and training in CBT, NLP, Trauma-informed approaches and Person-Centred Counselling.
After receiving a late diagnosis of Autism, I have spent the last 4 years in therapy learning further about who I am and how I show up in the world. This includes learning what needs I have and practising being comfortable asking for those needs to be met. I have spent many hours, during the last 3 years, with a neurodivergent coach/therapist, who has not only supported me personally but has encouraged me to use my qualifications, studies and own experience to grow professionally. The mixture of both counselling, coaching & training has allowed & inspired me to create my own programme of support for anyone who is Autistic or ADHD.
I worked as a Principal Teacher of Wellbeing for over a decade, with 8 of those years specialising in support needs. I have been trained in and have worked with nurture approaches, neurodivergent traits/needs, especially Dyslexia, Autism and ADHD, conflict management and restorative approaches. I have provided support for individuals, due to my ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills) training, experiencing suicidal ideation & self-injury. I am trained to use CBT, NVR and Emotional Coaching approaches.
